As the spring season for girls badminton has come to an end, they are now ready to enjoy one of their last times together with a potluck. Their diligence throughout this season deserves a time for them to sit back and relax.

For girls badminton, they have ended their season with a potluck to celebrate the achievements they have made and be together for the last time this year. With this potluck it will give them a chance to reflect, gather together, and devour many cuisines. Even though it may be their last time together this year, there are going to be many members of the team who will be coming back next year to fulfill their goals and dreams for this sport.

During the potluck, members spent the afternoon enjoying activities, sharing conversations, and genuinely connecting with one another, creating an atmosphere filled with warmth, laughter, and community. The rooms being filled with a variety of aromas showed that moments like these reminded the group of the strong community they’ve built and the joy that comes from simply being together.

“This year’s potluck was really fun, but also this was my first ever potluck, so I’m excited for next year too,” Raisha Mamun said.

“It’s really upsetting. This badminton season was up and down. There were so many obstacles I faced, including the opponents that I went against. I had arguments with them and stuff like that. So I think this year was the hardest and since I was like single ones  too, I had more pressure and people looked up to me,” Israt Tanha said.

In this season, many obstacles were faced because of the challenges that occurred when fighting for the points that can successfully accomplish their goals. Even though these challenges happened, the warmth they gave each other was a factor that helped them continue their journey. However, these  team members hold a position that can inspire many people  who can become individuals just like them for the team next year.

“Advice that I would give, is to like discipline yourself, and if you know that you’re in a sport, you should commit to it, and show so that you care for the sport because it’s not only you that’s on the team, there’s a lot of people that rely on you, so I would just say to discipline yourself and know what you’re signing up for,” Khyllie Pionela said.

This advice serves as a reminder that being part of a team is more than just showing up. It’s about honoring the commitment you made to yourself and to others. Discipline isn’t always easy, but it’s what separates good athletes from great ones. When you hold yourself accountable, you not only improve your own performance but also strengthen the trust and unity within the team. There will be many counting on you to help the performance for the team such as your teammates, the managers, and the coach.

The goal for next year is to continue being the most awesome team and make it to the playoffs,” Ms. Luong said.
