With the recent announcement of Bad Bunny’s last tours, fans have been going crazy to get their hands on tickets to see him perform one last time. Bad Bunny’s “El Último Tour del Mundo 2022” has become the fastest-selling tour on Ticketmaster since 2018.
“I have been a Bad Bunny Fan since the release of the song “Soy Peor.” So you could say that I have been a Bad Bunny Fan since 2016 and still am a huge fan. When I first heard the news that this was his last tour, I was devastated since I had plans to see him at some point after I graduated from high school,.” said Adriana Padilla Duran, a Graphic Design student at Edison.
As a post-pandemic event, this tour is nothing short of high demand. The tour’s presale date on April 15,2021 has racked up the most sales on Ticketmaster since 2018, making it their highest selling event to date.
Starting on February 9th, 2022, Bad Bunny’s “El Último Tour del Mundo 2022 will begin in Denver’s Ball Arena. The tour will hit a total of 35 cities across the country. However, due to high interest there were 10 tour dates added to the presale programming. These additional dates are said to take place in Los Angeles, Miami, Houston, Chicago, Dallas, New York, New Jersey, Orlando, as well as San Jose.
“The most I have seen on social media regarding Bad Bunny and his tour were from memes about the ticket prices and articles regarding the tour. I guess I wasn’t the only one who was shocked to see how high the prices were,” Adriana added in regards to the upcoming tour.
Bad Bunny has released a series of albums in 2020, including “Las Que No Iban A Salir,” “YHLQMDLG,” as well as the “El Último Tour del Mundo” album, which is what the tour is named after. There is no doubt that fans are excited to experience his recent hits from his latest albums come to life on stage.
There are also rumors that this could be Bad Bunny’s last tour, based on recent and vague hints from the rapper himself implying that he is nearing the end of his career. The album and tour names are enough of a hint, but the video that accompanied the album’s release also raised a lot of questions. After the tour, Bad Bunny is expected to no longer produce or release music. His musical career retirement is due to speculation on his poor mental health.
“I’m always excited to hear about any albums that Bad Bunny releases, but I am upset with the fact that it would be the last one he would ever release,” Adriana said. “I never get tired of hearing his songs, so I would have wanted him to continue making albums, but I respect his decision to no longer want to release more albums. It doesn’t affect me that much though because I would still continue to listen to his songs, no matter how old they are.”
Due to his upcoming retirement, Bad Bunny fans are nothing but excited to experience in-person performances before the rapper parts ways with his musical career. This tour is a bittersweet moment for all fans as well as for Bad Bunny himself.
