The 2023-2024 end of the school year is right around the corner. A school roughly with 2300 students, you expect to get a lot of different opinions on how they feel about the school. Some are relatively positive while others have some criticism of the school. Some strengths come in different areas while students are quick to point out the weaknesses of the school.
“Edison has some great teachers that are passionate about helping their students learn to be successful,” said Rawnak Chowdhury.
The learning experience and environment is rather welcoming for a lot of students. Students have a proper incentive to learn. Especially their shop class
“I am in the Cybersecurity class with Mr. Kalloo and I look forward to going there everyday, I always have something to do in that class and I actually get to learn a lot there,” said Chowdhury.
A common critique of students is the lunch at Edison. Overall students have a negative perspective on lunch and feel that it could be better.
“I avoid going to the cafeteria because there is simply no good food there, I actually get demoralized to see the food and it doesn’t look appetizing, ” said Talha Zubayer.
Something Edison does a fairly good job is being a safe environment for students. Rarely is there ever a fight or physical altercation.
“When I walk around the school I never feel threatened at all, I feel safe walking around without the need to look over my shoulder,” said Vincent Zheng “I don’t remember the last time if ever where I saw a fight break out.”
It’s safe to say Edison does a lot of good things. Of course with every other school it will have it’s weaknesses, but with time they can improve on those weaknesses and become better.
