Sanjida Sumaiya is a reporter for the Sports Section. She’s been a member of Edison’s Girls Soccer team for four years. It’s been a highlight of her High School career, as she’s found community in the sport. Sanjida is from Bangladesh, she holds deep ties to her culture. She came to New York City six years ago and has lived in Queens ever since.
