Halloween isn’t the only time of the year you are allowed to be scared. Ripley’s Believe it or Not Odditorium is one of a kind attraction located in Times Square. Guests are involved in the unbelievable, the unexpected, and the unusual which would leave the in shock. It’s a family friendly attraction so you can bring people of all ages. It’s open 365 days a year, from 9 am to 1 am during spring, summer and fall. An adult ticket is $29.95 plus tax while children tickets cost $22.95 plus tax. There are over 500 exhibits, 20 themed galleries, and a surprise in every corner. It consists of exhibits such as the black hole, a vortex that wraps time and space. The Little Apple, A New York Experience gallery, has all the lights and sounds of the big city. It includes the Empire State building. You will witness a peculiar ritual that indigenous tribes of South America practice. In addition there are sculptures of extraordinary animals.
“The exhibit I liked the most was the cubed illusion. Unlike all the other exhibits, this one you could personally go inside and take a picture which created an illusion to someone viewing your picture,” Ravnit Kaur stated.
Ripley’s Believe it or Not also hosts events all year long on specific holidays. For example, on Halloween, the host a party which consists of food, drinks, dj, performances, haunting exhibits, and dark surprises at each corner! On New Years Eve, guests can celebrate at the Odditorium and exit out to see the ball drop as well.This past July they had their national ice-cream day where visitors had a taste test challenge of ice-cream and ability to win discounts for half-priced admissions.
“People should visit the attraction because it’s one of the most appealing things in NYC. Everything in this attraction is fascinating. You find out so many things you hadn’t known before and you get to see some pretty cool stuff, ” Patricia Johnson.
