Thanksgiving has passed, winter has come and now the holidays are rapidly approaching. This is why more and more people are looking for things to buy for their family members, friends and significant others. Going to crowded malls and searching hours and hours for items are not necessary anymore. This is because a new holiday market has opened in Atlas Park Mall in Glendale where you can find perfect gifts for loved ones.
The holiday market was originally in Long Island City but recently has been moved to Atlas Park Mall in Glendale, Queens. It is very accessible for people to reach the holiday market since there are a variety of busses such as; the Q47, Q54 and the Q54 within walking distance. It is located right off St. Johns Cemetery and near popular establishments such as; Forever 21, Regal Cinemas and Chili’s. It is only open on Saturdays and Sundays through the hours of 11am through 7pm for only until the holiday season!
It has a variety of gifts and foods for the entire family including; arts and crafts, jewelry accessories, clothing items, winter accessories and many homemade items such as; soaps and bath salts. The pricing ranges from the items bought, jewelry being the cheapest and furniture being the most expensive. For people who are interested in antiques; the holiday market includes many vintage furniture, shoes and jewelry. And if you are looking to grab a bite to eat there are a few stands to grab homemade dishes such as; mac and cheese, chips with guacamole, lemonade and sweet baked goods. Not only being a good place to buy gifts, it also has entertainment for children and teens. The market includes an arcade, live music and other activities for children and teens to enjoy.
A local resident of Glendale, named Maria Feliz had recently attended the holiday market and she had said; “The Holiday Market at Atlas Mall is great! I had already bought my gifts for my sister and some of my friends. I had bought a cardigan, a few pieces of jewelry and vintage shoes!” Her daughter, Kate Feliz had said; “I love the holiday market even though I don’t like shopping. I really like the yummy food, the mac and cheese and the lemonade. I like to play on the arcade machines while my mom is shopping!”
The Atlas mall Holiday Market sells a variety of items but is only available for a limited amount of time. Hurry and visit the holiday market on or before December 20th to get all your gifts for your family or friends!
