The post apocalyptic trailer Bird Box on Netflix stars Sandra Bullock (Malorie Hay) and a cast of stars John Malkovich, and Sarah Paulson, has people freaking about Malorie Hay and her two children being blindfolded and making it through a forest as well as crossing a river to safely get away from supernatural demons, once in contact with the demons it causes people to commit suicide.
The film has made viewers start the Bird Box challenge where they would blindfold themselves and go about their daily life, while others have driven cars or walked around neighborhoods blindfolded, impacting safety and quality of life.
With the outbreak of the challenge going viral all over the world, Netflix issued a statement, “Can’t believe I have to say this, but: PLEASE DO NOT HURT YOURSELVES WITH THIS BIRD BOX CHALLENGE. We don’t know how this started, and we appreciate the love, but Boy and Girl have just one wish for 2019 and it is that you not end up in the hospital due to memes.”
Netflix’s statement on Twitter showcases that the accidents and challenge have gone to lengths that impact the safety and quality of life of people, and that precautions should be taken to conducting the Bird Box challenge.

Both accidents has forced Netflix to issue statements about the epic challenge that is causing harm to many and has impacted the lives on many.
